X = tangential adjustment of shaving tool. Y = swivel axis of shaving tool head. including monitor and keyboard for data input and corrections. * Automatic workpiece loading device consisting of a workpiece slide with two workpiece carriers and controlled clamping bet- ween the centers of the tailstocks (quills are driven) * Workpiece drive is via a gear wheel, which runs on the shaving tool spindle at the same rate as the shaving wheel; and a mating gear, which is exactly the same as the workpiece, on the tailstock quill. * Dressing of the shaving tool (which is corund or cbn) is performed by a diamond gauge gear which is same size as workpiece. This master gear is mounted on the workpiece spindle. Dressing cycle is activated by a presettable workpiece-counter. * Separate switch cabinet.
